Michael Edward Gil Eigenmann, known professionally as Michael de Mesa, has taken to social media to pen a heartfelt post dedicated to Jaclyn Jose, who recently died at the age of 60 due to a heart attack.

On his Instagram page, Michael shared photos captured at the late veteran actress’s wake.

In the caption, the renowned actor penned an earnest farewell message to Jaclyn.

“You left behind a legacy of love, artistry, and inspiration.”

Michael further vowed, “We will make sure @andieigengirl and her family are surrounded by that warmth.”

“Rest easy now, Jane,” he added.

In the comments section of Michael’s post, it is noticeable that Andi Eigenmann penned a short but sweet message to her uncle.

“Love you so much, Tito Mike,” Andi told the actor.

Mary Jane Santa Ana Guck, also known by her stage name Jaclyn Jose, was a Filipino cinema and TV actress who had earned international critical acclaim. Jaclyn won the Best Actress award for the film “Ma'Rosa” at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. She was also known for her roles in the films "Private Show", "White Slavery", and "Santa Juana". Jaclyn was the mother of another famous actress, Andi Eigenmann.

Andi is currently grieving over Jaclyn’s sudden demise. The veteran actress passed away on March 2 at the age of 60. A couple of days after her mother’s demise, Andi shared a meaningful post on Instagram Stories. Her post contains a poem about feeling the presence of a loved one through the sun, rain, and wind.

Andi’s daughter Ellie Ejercito reshared on Instagram Stories a post about Jaclyn and Cherie Gil. The post initially published by Instagram user @thisaintseth shows a lovely photo of the two late veteran actresses. Cherie passed away on August 5, 2022, while Jaclyn died last March 2.
