Actor-director Coco Martin recently opened up to ABS-CBN News about his deep gratitude towards the late actress Jaclyn Jose, who passed away days ago. Coco credited Jaclyn, affectionately known as "Mommy Jane," for playing a pivotal role in his career trajectory and success.
Coco explained that Jaclyn was instrumental in his journey, from their collaboration in his first indie movie, "Masahista," to her encouragement for him to enter television and join ABS-CBN. His words reflect the profound impact Jaclyn had on his career and life journey, highlighting her mentorship and guidance as essential elements in his remarkable achievements in the entertainment industry.
“Utang na loob ko lahat kay Mommy Jane. Siya ang dahilan kung bakit ako nandito sa ABS-CBN. Kung bakit lahat nangyari sa buhay ko. Siya ang kasama ko sa kauna-unahang indie movie ko na ‘Masahista’. Siya ang nag-convince sa akin na pumasok sa TV, sa ABS-CBN,” Coco said.
As reported by The Philippine Star, Jaclyn Jose died on March 2, Saturday, at the age of 60. GMA News reported that according to her daughter Andi Eigenmann, Jaclyn died due to a heart attack.
