Gela Atayde, sister of actress Ria Atayde, addressed recent rumors about her sister's alleged pregnancy with fiancé Zanjoe Marudo in an exclusive video interview with ABS-CBN News’ TV Patrol.

Contrary to speculation, Gela firmly denied the rumors, citing Ria's battle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) as a significant factor that makes conception a challenge. Despite this, Gela revealed that their parents are supportive of the idea of Ria becoming pregnant, considering her age of 32 and her fiancé's age of 41.

In the interview, Gela emphasized the difficulty Ria faces due to her PCOS condition, describing the possibility of her conceiving as a miraculous event. While unable to confirm any plans for pregnancy, Gela hinted that Ria and Zanjoe are actively trying to start a family. She also expressed gratitude for her parents' supportive stance on the matter, acknowledging the significance of Ria's age and the desire for her to embrace motherhood in the near future.

"For me, I can’t say much yet. For now, no. They’re trying, that’s for sure.

"My sister has PCOS and it would be a miracle if she has a child.

"Well, at least my parents also are supportive for that my sister nga kasi is at the age — turning 32 this year — medyo kailangan na din,” Gela said.

Ria Atayde is a Filipina actress and the daughter of veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez and businessman Art Atayde. She began her showbiz career with Ningning, a TV drama series, and variety noontime show It's Showtime. Ria is the younger sister of actor-politician Arjo Atayde.
