Celebrity couple John Prats and Isabel Oli recently opened up about their journey to marriage during an interview on GMA's "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda." The couple shared surprising details about their relationship, including a pivotal moment that almost led to a breakup.

Isabel revealed that she had set a deadline for John to propose to her before their second-year anniversary as a couple. This ultimatum was inspired by a documentary on marriage she had watched, which suggested that if a man doesn't propose within a year, it might be time to reconsider the relationship.

"Kung hindi pa daw mag-propose sa’yo ‘yung guy in a year, medyo magisip-isip ka na daw," Isabel shared, recounting the advice from the documentary. "Eh nung time na ‘yon, parang two years na kami ni John."

She admitted feeling anxious as their second anniversary approached without a proposal from John. "Sabi ko ‘Ay, two years na kami, hindi nakapasok dun sa sinabi nung—naku, naku.’ Ta’s parang nandun ‘yung mga signs eh. Parang forever single na lang talaga ako,” she added.

However, John surprised Isabel just in time, proposing to her in September 2014, a few months before her self-imposed deadline in December 2014. He orchestrated a flash mob dance in a Quezon City Mall, creating a memorable and romantic proposal.

Reflecting on the experience, John shared his perspective on the pressure both partners feel when it comes to marriage. "Kasi 'di 'ba ang babae, ‘pag tinanong mo siya, ang takot mo, kung ready ba siya. Kung ako tatanungin mo, ganun din, parang ready ba ‘ko? Ano bang pakiramdam ng kailangan mo na ‘yung sagot ko ngayon ‘di ba? So parang yeah, I think it's interesting,” he said.

John Prats is a well-known actor, director, comedian and television host in the Philippines. In 2014, the Kapamilya star organized a flash mob and proposed to Isabel Oli in Eastwood City. On May 16, 2015, he tied the knot with actress Isabel Oli. They have three children – Feather, Freedom and Forest.

In his post, the actor-director can be seen grinning broadly as he sat between Sam and Cat. He also wrote a caption asking the lovebirds for their opinion and, at the same time, declaring that he’s the happiest third wheel.
