Today, January 25, 2024, is the 40th day of Ronaldo Valdez’s passing. Janno Gibbs then took to social media and published a heartfelt post about his late father.
On his Instagram page, Janno shared a photo of him and his father taken while they were doing an emotional scene in “Itutumba Ka Ng Tatay Ko.” The said film, which is now showing in cinemas, is Janno’s full-length directorial debut.
In the caption, the singer-actor opened up about how hard it was for him to do the said scene and how he felt watching it after Ronaldo’s demise.
“Shooting this emotional scene w/ my Tatay was hard enough. Watching it now is even tougher.”

Janno went on to underscore, “Your presence in the film is undeniable.”
“Today is the 40th day of his passing,” he added.
Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs, or Ronaldo Valdez as his screen name knew him, was a veteran actor in both movies and television. He was notably recognized as the father of Janno Gibbs, who is an actor, comedian, TV host, and singer.
In a previous report by KAMI, Janno Gibbs wanted the policemen who handled the case of his father, Ronaldo Valdez, to issue an apology. The comedian faced the press along with his lawyer, Atty. Lorna Kapunan. Janno was asking for a public apology, for having allegedly mishandled and disseminated the video of the death of the veteran actor.
The QCPD later released a public apology to the family members of the late actor Ronaldo Valdez. The police district apologized for the leaked video showing the actor with a gunshot wound to the head. According to the QCPD, the policemen involved in the issue will face charges. Five police officers will face administrative charges due to the leaked video.
