Lolit Solis penned a commentary about Robi Domingo, who tied the knot with Maiqui Pineda on January 6.

Apparently, the Kapamilya TV host’s grandmother passed away on the morning of his wedding day.

“Parang napaka sad naman iyon nangyari kay Robi Domingo di ba Salve. Imagine mo na kinakasal ka at isang member ng pamilya mo naman ang namatay,” Manay Lolit said in one of her recent Instagram posts.

The entertainment columnist and talent manager went on to express how life can be unpredictable at times.

“Talagang hindi mo alam ang nangyayari at mangyayari sa buhay. Mapagbiro talaga kung minsan ang mga pangyayari. Kaya naman dapat lagi kang handa sa anuman puwede mangyari sa buhay mo. At may maganda o masama man na magaganap, dapat handa lagi ang loob mo.”

She likewise expressed admiration for people who can handle such situations.

“Dito mo nga makikita ang strength of character ng isang tao, pag dumarating mga ganitong pagkakataon. Duon mo makikita kung paano i handle ng isang tao ang pagdating ng saya at lungkot sa buhay niya. Kung paano niya i handle ang mga ganitong bagay duon mo makikita how good a person can handle a problem. At hahangaan mo mga taong kayang kaya magdala ng mga ganitong sitwasyon.”

“We can say emotionally mature at mas mataas ang intelligence nila dahil kaya nila itong dalhin. It takes a lot of courage para maharap mo ang mga ganitong pangyayari sa buhay mo. Imagine death at the time kung kelan nasa peak ka ng happiness. Imagine mo na after your wedding sa isang wake ka naman pupunta.”

Furthermore, Manay Lolit underscored, “Life talaga, mapaglaro.”

Robi Domingo is a Filipino VJ, actor, and host. He first gained fame as a "Pinoy Big Brother" contestant, ending up as the first runner-up of the reality competition series. The Kapamilya star used to be in a relationship with Gretchen Ho before getting into a relationship with Maiqui Pineda.

On January 6, 2024, the TV host and actor fulfilled his promise at a church wedding attended by their families and friends. In a social media post shared by Robi’s friend, Melai Cantiveros, one can see the happiness painted on everyone’s faces as the two exchanged vows at the altar.

Earlier, Robi shared an update on his and Maiqui Pineda’s dream home. He posted photos giving glimpses of the ongoing renovation of their future house. In the caption, Robi said he is really happy with the outcome of the ongoing renovation. The TV host and his fiancée likewise expressed gratitude to the designer of their home.
