Ice Seguerra, or Cariza Yamson Seguerra in real life, is a Filipino actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community and the spouse of Liza Diño.
Ice has taken to Facebook to express his thoughts on the arrest of drag artist Pura Luka Vega. The singer, who is also a member of the LGBTQIA community, was not in favor of the arrest, calling Philippine laws archaic. He then said that while it is easy to file a case against a person who "offended" religious beliefs, the LGBTQIA still has no rights in the eyes of the law. For Ice, it is allegedly work, rights and their dignity that are being stripped of them.
Earlier, Ice also penned a heartfelt tribute to his father-in-law, former DILG Undersecretary Martin Diño. The singer’s father-in-law passed away last year after battling stage 4 cancer. According to Ice, he is grateful to Martin Diño for wholeheartedly accepting and embracing him as a member of the family. Furthermore, Ice acknowledged Martin Diño's resilience and dedication to various causes, including his fight for the nation and his battle against cancer.
