She entered show business when she participated in GMA Network's reality talent competition, StarStruck, and subsequently won. She is now married to her fellow Kapuso star, Dennis Trillo, a Pinoy actor, recording artist, and model.

Previously, Jennylyn treated her followers to a video of her and Dennis' lovely daughter Dylan Jayde. The video showcased not just Baby Dylan’s cuteness but also her intelligence. Earlier, Jennylyn, during one of her recent interviews, admitted she sometimes gets mad at Dennis over TikTok. In a video posted by the official page of GMA Network, the actress was talking about Dennis to one of the reporters. According to Jennylyn, during the interview, "Nagagalit ako sa kanya kasi puro siya TikTok." She even reenacted one time she had to knock over the door to ask what her husband was doing inside because of TikTok.
