Sarah Lahbati: “Paano ka magiging pinaka-magaling na mother kung hindi mo maaalagaan ang sarili mo”

Sarah Lahbati, during a chance interview with MJ Marfori during the actress’ media conference for her upcoming TV series, expressed her opinion on what one must do in order to become the best mother.

She highlighted the need to take care of one’s self, saying that doing so is very essential in their goal to become the best mother for their kids.

“Babalik tayo dun sa paano ka magiging pinaka-magaling na mother kung hindi mo maaalagaan ang sarili mo, so always take care of yourself the best way you can,” Sarah said.

MJ then asked her if she had a hard time finding out how to be the best mother.

“Nahirapan ka ba na hanapin yun, na parang for a time, kasi it's a journey,” the showbiz reporter wondered.

Sarah agreed that the balance of being a mother and her own woman is indeed a journey, adding that it takes time to get used to it but with perseverance, it can be achieved.

“I think yes, definitely a journey, that balance of being a mother and your own woman, the whole stuff, but you work through things, it takes time, sometimes other women figure it out easier, so it's different for everyone,” the actress answered.

The showbiz reporter then remarked that the journey is indeed difficult, and wondered if Sarah also found it hard to figure things out in two years’ time.

“Yes, for a lot mahirap din pala, ikaw ba nahirapan ka i-figure out in two years time?” MJ asked.

Sarah, without going into details, said that as she matured, it has become natural for her to figure it out.

“As I grew older, parang natural naman siya, na-figure out ko naman siya,” Sarah answered.

Sarah Lahbati, or Sarah Alzol Lahbati, is a Filipino-Moroccan actress and performer who gained popularity as one of the finalists in the 5th season of "StarStruck," a Philippine talent search show broadcasted on GMA Network. She was hailed as the StarStruck V's Ultimate Female Survivor. Sarah tied the knot with actor Richard Gutierrez in a lovely civil wedding ceremony on March 14, 2020.

In a recent interview with members of the media, Sarah declined to comment on alleged insinuations of Annabelle Rama as regards the actress and Richard Gutierrez. It can be recalled that rumors about the separation of Richard and Sarah have been circulating online since last month. The rumors were further fanned by posts showing photos of Richard with the Gutierrez family sans Sarah, and the latter’s photos with their kids without the actor present. Recently, Annabelle stated that Richard and his kids are staying in her house, and also mentioned something about her son working hard to earn money while the other squanders it, without saying names.

She also wowed netizens on social media with her recent post. On Instagram, Sarah published a series of photos that she took of herself. Clad in a white ensemble, Sarah looked incredible and beautiful in the viral photos she posted. The said post also garnered several positive reactions and comments from netizens online.
