Barbie Forteza, aminadong nalunod noon sa atensyong natanggap dahil sa ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’

Barbie Forteza was the guest in the latest episode of Luis Manzano’s talk show on YouTube, “Luis Listens.”

Among the questions asked of the actress were her thoughts on the attention and recognition she received after starring in GMA’s hit historical portal fantasy “Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

“Noong una, na-overwhelm ako,” the Kapuso star opened up.

As per Barbie, this made her decide to pay a visit to her sister and her family in Chicago and take a much-needed vacation there.

“To the point na kinailangan kong puntahan ang kapatid ko sa Chicago. Kasi para sa akin, masyadong naging overwhelming, parang nakakalunod masyado. I really like the attention, the recognition, pero siyempre kasabay nu'n... lahat parang naging critic. Parang kahit hindi na sa pag-arte, 'yung personal mong buhay. Parang tinuturuan ka nila paano ka mabuhay just because nakilala nila ako sa Maria Clara at Ibarra.”

“Nalunod ako for a time. So I had to leave, nagbakasyon ako sa kapatid ko sa America kasama nu'ng mga pamangkin ko.”

She then explained how the said trip helped her deal with the unsolicited remarks she received.

“Sobrang therapeutic sa akin 'yung trip na 'yon kasi pagbalik ko, pare-parehas pa rin naman ang mga sinasabi sa akin, pare-parehas pa rin naman ang tingin ng mga tao sa akin, pero mas naging maluwag na 'yung paghinga ko, naging parang mas kalmado na ako.”

Barbie Forteza is a popular Filipino television actress and model. She has been in the limelight for her beauty and remarkable talent in acting.
