Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee admitted to feeling emotional and overwhelmed after receiving a warm welcome on the GMA morning program “Unang Hirit.”

She also expressed her gratitude after receiving strong support from her countrymen during the Miss Universe 2023 pageant in El Salvador, which she did not expect. Because of the overwhelming support, Michelle was able to give it her all because she knew that the whole country was behind her.

“Hindi ko in-expect yung bayanihan spirit to be this strong…

"Everyone rallied together. [It made me feel that] hindi ko lang 'to laban, Laban ng buong Pilipinas," she shared.

The beauty queen also appreciates Filipinos who up to this day are expressing their opinion that she deserves the Miss Universe crown.

Michelle finished her Miss Universe journey in the Top 10. She also won Best National Costume.

"Alam ko na may lumalaban para sa 'kin. Nakakataba talaga ng puso," she said.

Michelle Marquez Dee is a beauty queen who rose to fame after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant. She represents the Philippines at the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in El Salvador. Michelle’s mother is actress and former beauty queen Melanie Marquez.

In another video post which was shared by Elden Delmo, the mom of Michelle, beauty queen Melanie Marquez, gave a message to all the supporters of her daughter. The beauty queen thanked all those who supported Michelle. She also showed gratitude for those people who believed in her daughter. Michelle made it to the Top 10 of the Miss Universe 2023 competition but failed to make the cut for the Top 5.

Meanwhile, a video of Michelle sharing a sweet moment with newly-crowned Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios also went viral. The video zoomed in on the post-coronation moment on the Miss U stage. She hugged Sheynnis warmly and exchanged some words, then ended it with a high-five. Michelle also took the time to thank all those who supported her Miss U journey.
