Maanghang na pahayag ni MGI founder Nawat Itsaragrisil, viral: “You Filipinos stop blaming me”

- In his statement, Nawat said that Filipinos should stop blaming him for having the wrong candidate

- He then narrated what transpired during the event, where he claimed Nikki walked out after failing to make it to the Top 20

- Nikki’s camp has not issued any comment yet on the statement made by the MGI founder

The statement of Miss Grand International founder Nawat Itsaragrisil against Philippines’ bet Nikki de Moura which later surfaced on TikTok and other social media platforms has gone viral.

In his statement, Nawat said Filipinos should stop blaming him for sending the wrong candidate to the pageant.

“The problem with you is choosing the wrong candidate to compete, from day one she has a lot of problem/fault,” Nawat said in a video uploaded on TikTok.

He then asked Pinoys to stop blaming him for sending the wrong candidate to participate in the Miss Grand International pageant.

“You Filipinos stop blaming me as you have chosen the wrong candidate to compete,” Nawat added.

Nawat then alleged that Nikki walked out the stage after failing to make it to the Top 20.

“Yes, this is the real story. You can see her after Top 20 on the stage?” Nawat asked in the TikTok video that has since then gone viral.

He even challenged anyone to point Nikki out to him if they see her on stage, saying that he will give one million US dollars if someone sees the Philippines’ bet on stage during the remaining hours of the pageant.

“Did you see her, if you see her? I give you 1 million US dollar, it difficult to work with her,” the MGI founder said.

Near the end of the video, Nawat alleged that Nikki is very uncooperative to the very end.

“It's very difficult to cooperate, every day until the end of day. She did what she want,” Nawat said.

The camp of Nikki has still to issue a comment on the allegations made by Nawat in the now-viral video.

Nikki Advincula de Moura is a Pinoy-Brazilian model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2023. She was born on November 15, 2003. Nikki represented the Philippines in the Miss Grand International 2023 competition held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam last October 25, 2023.

It can be recalled that Nikki, the Philippines' bet to the Miss Grand International 2023, impressed both the judges and the audience with her confidence and elegance during the evening gown event in the preliminary round. However, the YouTube channel of the Crown Sisters shared a video of Nikki falling to her knees after getting down from the stage. Despite the accident, Nikki stood back up and showed grace under pressure.

Nikki, a native of Cagayan de Oro, was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2023 at the said competition that saw her being pitted against equally popular candidate, Herlene Budol, who created a huge buzz for bagging the Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 crown. In the same event, Michelle Arceo from Bagumbayan, Quezon City was proclaimed Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2023 crown, while Francine Reyes of Tarlac won the Miss Eco Teen Philippines title.
