"Sobrang panalo. Napakasuwerte ko," Cruz began, reflecting on the arrival of his son Elias. "Yun ang naging pinaka-role niya sa buhay ko, nung dumating na siya. Yun talaga yung wow."

The actor went on to explain the transformative power of fatherhood, saying that Elias saved his life. "Siguro yung pinakasimpleng maipapaliwanag ko is, si Elias, parang iniligtas niya yung buhay ko," John Lloyd said. "Hindi ko ma-imagine yung buhay ko kung paano magtutuloy kung hindi dumating si Elias. Ang dami niyang ibinigay na bago."

Elias's presence brought a new sense of purpose and responsibility into John Lloyd’s life. "Bagong kahulugan, bagong duties, mga bagong... all of a sudden, iba na yung tingin mo sa lahat," he emphasized.
