Herlene Budol looked back on her humble beginnings as she shared some photos from her recent birthday photoshoot.

The actress and beauty queen just turned 24 years old today, August 23.

During the shoot with photographer Jomar Franche, Herlene donned a stunning gown designed by Leo Almodal.

She also wore the Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 crown she bagged during this year’s Miss Grand Philippines pageant.

The said pictorial took place in front of what looked like a humble home.

“Ang sarap balik balikan ang buhay kung saan ka nagsimula,” Herlene wrote in the caption.

The “Magandang Dilag” star also gratefully expressed, “I am beyond grateful for those people who help me to grow and to become who I am today.”

”Thank you Lord it’s my birthday,” she added.

Herlene, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian, and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin” and later became a host. Herlene was first runner-up and won several minor awards at the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas pageant. She was also crowned as Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 in the recent Miss Grand Philippines pageant. Herlene plays the lead role in Kapuso afternoon series "Magandang Dilag."

Recently, Herlene warmed the hearts of her followers with her online post. She shared a couple of lovely photos of her with her grandfather. In photos, Herlene and her grandpa were seen beaming while the latter was wearing faux bangs. Many netizens then left pleasing comments on the two's cute snapshots.

Earlier, the former manager of the beauty queen, Wilbert Tolentino sent a message to his former talent. He expressed how proud he is of his achievements with Herlene during their time together. The businessman also promised to help Herlene in understanding new contracts and if she needs advice on anything. Finally, he encouraged Herlene to visit his home if she ever needs his help, promising to be her “mima,” guardian angel, and protector forever.
