Herlene Budol, natakot pagtawanan; masaya raw sa nakuhang award: “Kulang ang salitang salamat”

Herlene Budol took to Instagram to correct the suspicions of some netizens that she’s sad because she won the Miss Tourism crown instead of clinching the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 crown.

It can be recalled the beauty queen-comedienne recently posted about the award she brought home as Miss Tourism and made a joke on socmed about what she was planning to do then.

In that particular post, Herlene was shown wearing the crown of Miss Tourism, though some took note of her sad face.

In the caption of the said post that she shared from Bekis of Pageantry 2.0, she asked why she looked sad at the result of the pageant, her answered was that because “angkol” wasted her.

“Kase sinayang ni angkol kaya sa ms tourism tawo tatambling ng bongga,” Herlene wrote then in the caption.

Her most recent post on Instagram corrected the notion of some why she seemed sad, and also explained the fact she won a crown hasn’t sunk in yet at the time.

“Hindi lang po nag sink in saakin na may crown po ako nung gabing yon after kong mag buckle at pag tawanan kase na takot napo ako sa mga sasabihin sakin ng mga tao,” Herlene explained in her recent post.

She indicated she’s very happy and that the word “thank you” isn’t enough to express her gratitude for all the blessings she has received.

“Pero Hindi po ibig sabihin na hindi po ako masaya sa nakuha ko. Kulang ang salitang salamat sa lahat ng blessings na binibigay sakin araw araw ng panginoon ,” Herlene said.

Herlene Budol, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian, and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin” and later became a host. She was the first runner-up and won several minor awards at the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas pageant. She is now a Kapuso star.

Recently, the beauty queen took to IG Stories and shared a funny video that was taken by @kim.mrtnzj. It showed Herlene doing her walk on the stage during the swimsuit competition. A crew was beckoning to Herlene to stop and go down but she kept on going around the stage. Herlene just bagged the Miss Tourism award from the recently concluded Miss Grand PH competition.

Previously, she penned a lengthy post on social media following her Miss Philippines Tourism win. She expressed appreciation to those who have been part of her pageant journey. The “Magandang Dilag” star also reflected on the upcoming Miss Tourism World 2023 pageant. Herlene will represent the country in the said international competition to be held in London this November.
