Herlene Budol, kinorohanang Miss Philippines Tourism 2023; Nikki de Moura, waging Miss Grand PH 2023

- Michelle Arceo from Bagumbayan, Quezon City was proclaimed Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2023 crown, while Francine Reyes of Tarlac won the Miss Eco Teen Philippines title

Cagayan de Oro’s Nikki De Moura was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2023 during the pageant’s coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Thursday.

In the said competition, actress and influencer Herlene Budol of Angono Rizal won the Miss Philippines Tourism 2023 title.

Other winners include Michelle Arceo of Bagumbayan, Quezon City, who was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2023 and Francine Reyes of Tarlac, who was proclaimed Miss Eco Teen Philippines.

Likewise, Shanon Tampon of Caloocan City and Charie Sergio of Caluya, Antique were hailed as first and second runner-ups, respectively.

The said pageant is the first edition of Miss Grand Philippines competition under the ALV Pageant Circle management, after Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. withdrew from the franchise.

Herlene, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian, and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin” and later became a host. Herlene was first runner-up and won several minor awards at the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas pageant.

Recently, Herlene admitted that she has been feeling extremely nervous about the Miss Grand Philippines 2023 pageant. The beauty queen has also been anxious about the possibility of people criticizing her performance at the pageant. Amid all of the anxiety, Herlene expressed her appreciation for Wilbert Tolentino, her manager, who she described as her “Mima” who is always there for her. Herlene also thanked Madam Inutz for always giving her valuable pieces of advice.

Previously, Herlene's video as one of the contestants for Miss Grand Philippines surfaced online. In the video, one of the judges asked her if aside from her huge following on social media, what else does she think will get her the crown. Herlene had the judge repeat the question, which prompted the latter to repeat it, but this time around, in Tagalog. The beauty queen then answered with a mixture of English and Tagalog.
