Tito Sotto, nagbigay ng pahayag sa desisyon ng TAPE i-celebrate 44th anniv ng ‘EB’: “Wala silang karapatan”
The former legislator talked about the time when they worked for a year without a salary, for which TAPE allegedly promised them a share in the corporation.
“When we asked them, how about the entire year we worked for without a salary? It was only fair to ask that since it was all our effort from the start that made 'Eat Bulaga' what it was by then. You know what they told us, they said, ‘Ah, don't worry about it, we'll just give you share in TAPE, Inc.” Tito revealed.
When the comic trio announced on air on May 31 that they were parting ways with TAPE, Inquirer News immediately published the statement of GMA Network expressing sadness over their departure.
TVJ and the Dabarkads have since then launched a new noontime show in their new home studio on TV5.
