Alden Richards, when he got to face the entertainment press during a conference for "Battle of the Judges," made an appeal to the public not to bash Sharon.

The actor defended Sharon after the latter was subjected to bashing when she teased Alden and Maine Mendoza during the July 1 episode of "E.A.T."

For Alden, Sharon had no ill intentions and perhaps was only excited, PikaPika report stated.

“Hindi ko po alam kung paano naintindihan nu’ng mga manonood ’yong delivery ni Ms. Sharon. But I think she meant well,” Alden said.

“Siguro po kung feeling nu’ng iba na nabastos, in a way, sina Arjo and Maine dahil ikakasal [na sila], siguro naman po hindi ’yon ’yong intention ni Ms. Sharon. Sana po wag naman natin husgahan agad,” he added.

He also underscored that he respects the relationship of Maine and Arjo Atayde.

GMA reported that Alden and Sharon's movie is among the official entries for the MMFF.

In a Philstar report, the actor revealed that he misses the Dabarkads and that he's sad for TVJ's departure from TAPE.
