Herlene Budol, unti-unti na raw natutupad pangarap niya noon; pinasalamatan ang ina: “Hayaan mo ako bumawi”

- Herlene Budol, in a social media post recently, revealed that the dreams and aspirations that she and her mother had before are gradually coming to fruition

- She then expressed her gratitude to her mother whom she said had already started making sacrifices even before Herlene, also known as “Hipon Girl” was born

- The comedienne and beauty queen then reminisced about those times when she and her mom would encounter great difficulties in finding a handler for barangay beauty pageants

- Herlene then said that now both their efforts are starting to bear fruits, she said it’s her time to make “bawi” to her mom and their family

Herlene Budol, in a recent Instagram post, revealed that the dreams and aspirations that she and her mom had before are gradually coming to fruition.

At the start of her post, Herlene introduced her mom and then expressed gratitude to her, whom the beauty queen said had already started making sacrifices even before she was born.

“Meet my Mama Lhen. You start making sacrifices nine months before your hipon girl is born. Ma, Salamat para sa pagmamahal, pag aalaga at suporta na buong pagmamahal mong ibinigay sa bawat araw ng aking buhay,” Herlene wrote.

“Ikaw at ikaw lang ang kasama ko para mag lako at nag hahanap ng handler para sumali sa mga Barangayan pageant kht walang nag papansin sa atin at tumanggap sa atin nun,” she added.

Herlene, who is also known as ‘Hipon Girl’, then reminisced about her and Mama Lhen’s experiences in the past where they would always aspire for the top prize but always only take home some minor prizes.

“Pangarap mo maging Beauty Queen ako pero lagi tayo umuuwi ng best in Swimsuit, Body beautiful, Best flawless at Miss Congeniality na indi ko pa naiintindihan kung ano ibig sabihin ng Congeniality,

“Well, those were the days. Minsan lang ako na chambahan ma putungan ng korona Binibining Angono sining tourismo na indi ko nakuha kunpleto ang aking premyo," Herlene said.

She then revealed it was her mom who pushed her to join Wowowin.

“Hindi tayo pinalad sa pageant industry ai pinush mo parin ako sumali ng Wowowin and the rest is history,” the beauty queen revealed.

“Ma, unti untiin natin itupad ang pangarap na sinumulan mo para sa akin noon. utang na loob ko ang buhay ko kung ano meron sa akin,” Herlene told her mom in her post.

In a gesture of a loving daughter, Herlene then said she will make “bawi” or give back to her mom and their family, expressing hope that her mom is proud of her present achievements.

“Hayaan mo ako bumawi sa pamilya natin ng onti onti. Ma, sana proud ka sa lahat ng achievement at narating ko ngayon sa buhay ko na dati natin pangarap. Pangalawang National Pageant stage na tumungtong ang Hipon Girl mo, @bbpilipinasofficial at @msgrandphilippines,” she said.

“I love you Ma to the moon & back ,” Herlene said.

Herlene, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian, and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin” and later became a host. Herlene was first runner-up and won several minor awards at the 2022 Binibining Pilipinas pageant.

Recently, Herlene also made an appreciation post for her manager, friend, and mentor, Wilbert Tolentino, praising him for his hard work. The beauty queen got extremely stressed due to issues regarding her national costume for the upcoming Miss Grand Philippines 2023. Wilbert came to the rescue and found a new epic costume for her. According to Herlene, Wilbert is a supportive and resourceful manager.

She also took to IG Stories and had her Q&A for her followers. She was very happy when there was finally someone who actually asked her a question. The question posed to her was, "Kumusta ka Ms. Herlene." Herlene then added a funny caption, "May nagtanong din sa wakas! Thank you."
