Coco Lee, the popular Hong Kong-born singer and songwriter, has died at the age of 48, her siblings confirmed, as per China Daily.
Accordingly, the "Mulan" singer has been battling with depression for several years and tried to end her life.
Based on the report of CNN, the singer was still hospitalized but she could no longer be revived as she went into a coma.
The singer tried to end it on Sunday and died on Wednesday.

"Although, CoCo sought professional help and did her best to fight depression, sadly that demon inside of her took the better of her," the statement of her sister, Nancy Lee revealed, as reported by New York Times.
Coco Lee is known for the Oscar-nominated song in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." She is also known for the song "Reflection" in the movie, "Mulan."
Ferren "Coco" Lee was a popular Hong Kong-born singer. She was also a songwriter, producer, actress and dancer. She began her career in Hong Kong. Later on, she became an international star.
In another report on death of known personalities, Philippines' popular reporter, Mario Dumaual has died. His family confirmed that the ABS-CBN reporter has passed away. In a statement, his family announced that Dumaual died on Wednesday, July 5 at 8:01 a.m. Dumaual, who would have turned 65 on July 31, died due to septic shock. The bereaved family also paid a heartfelt tribute to the veteran showbiz reporter in the statement.
His death broke the hearts of many celebrities. The Kapamilya reporter died due to complications of his cardiac arrest last month. Several celebrities have taken to social media to express their heartbreak and to send condolences to Dumaual’s loved ones.
