The veteran columnist also appeared to be in conformity with TVJ’s and the “Dabarkads’” decision about doing away with a live audience for the meantime.

She compared the situation with a homeowner moving into a new house.

“Totoo naman yun eh, diba? Pag lumipat ka ng bahay, eto real talk, pag lumipat tayo ng bahay, diba, nililibot muna natin yung mga kuwarto, yung kusina, itaas, ibaba, ipi-feel muna natin yan, hindi ba,” Nay Cristy said.

Maine Mendoza, gustong makasama si Alden Richards sa bagong show sa TV5

Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.

Recently, one of the "Dabarkads," Allan K, shared a meaningful post on social media. On his Instagram page, Allan uploaded a photo of him wearing a shirt with the logo of the comedy bar he owns printed on it. In the caption, the comedian and television host quoted his "moral in life." In the comments section, some netizens agreed with Allan's caption.

On the other hand, Paolo Contis, one of the new hosts of GMA7's "Eat Bulaga," revealed on ’The Boobay and Tekla Show’ that he sent private messages to both Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon. The new ‘Eat Bulaga’ host sent a private message to Vic through the latter’s wife, Pauleen Luna. Likewise, Paolo sent a private message to Joey, who he described as his “kumpare.” Paolo then shared the content of his private messages.
