Lolit Solis, In a social media post, has expressed pity on Joey De Leon, one of the members of TVJ, the main hosts of GMA7’s Eat Bulaga.

In the same post, the veteran showbiz columnist also explained why she felt that way.

“Naawa naman ako Salve kay Joey de Leon dahil talagang na sad siya sa mga nangyayari ngayon,” Manay Lolit said.

“Very sentimental si Joey de Leon kaya mababa ang luha niya,” she added.

It can be recalled that Joey, in recent days, granted an interview to some members of the media where he wasn’t able to stop himself from shedding tears.

“Teary eyed siya pag kausap ng mga showbiz writers kaya naman feel ng lahat ang sadness niya,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.

She also said that it is apparently the same with Vic Sotto, another member of the TVJ.

“Kahit nga si Vic Sotto sabi ni Pauleen Luna talagang naging tahimik ng matagal tuwing sasapit ang oras ng tanghali,” the columnist pointed out.

“Buti na lang at nandiyan si Talitha na pinasasaya siya lagi,” she added.

Manay Lolit then pointed out that it’s not very easy to set aside 40 years of being together as main hosts of a TV show.

“Naku pag naman inabot ka ng 40 years na lagi kayo magkasama imposible naman talaga makalimot ka,” Manay Lolit said.

“Siyempre nanduon parin iyon feeling mo na magkasama kayong lahat together,” the columnist further said.

She then expressed her opinion that a lot of people would take a long time in moving on from what happened with Eat Bulaga.

“Naku matatagalan talaga maka recover dito sa nangyari sa Eat Bulaga. Tutoo nga, mabu Bulaga ka sa mga magaganap na eksena,” she said.

“Hindi mo akalain ha, pagdating pa ng 40 years mangyayari ang ganito. Ayaw ni Talitha niyan, hindi bongga,” Manay Lolit concluded.

“Eat Bulaga” is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others, announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.

Joey has also captured the netizens' attention with his new Instagram post about "Eat Bulaga." In that post, he uploaded a painting of himself. The famous TV show recalled the moment when he came up with the name 'Eat Bulaga' for their show back in 1979. Furthermore, his Instagram post has gone viral quickly and also sparked various comments from netizens.

He also shared a photo, in which he is with the other Dabarkads. Apparently, it shows that moment when they announced their resignation from TAPE Inc.. Furthermore, Joey wrote a witty caption about them being united. He likewise added the line "go for gold, go for old" in the said post.
