Iya Villania, in a recent interview by media outfit PhilStar news, revealed she would consider taking on a hosting job in a noontime show for as long as the name is not “Eat Bulaga.”
It can be recalled that Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon, the main hosts of “Eat Bulaga,” also known as EB, on May 31, 2023 announced their resignation from TAPE, Inc., the producer of the show, while the program is ongoing.
Eventually, all of their co-hosts and other personnel, also resigned en masse, in solidarity with the main hosts of the show.
TAPE, the producer of the show, which found itself without hosts allegedly tried to tap some of the resigned co-hosts of the show but they were supposedly repudiated.

Recently, TV presenter Iya was asked if she would be willing to become one of the new hosts of a noontime show on GMA TV.
“Oh my gulay. It's hard to talk speak. Siguro kung iba 'yung pangalan ng show. I probably... I would consider,” Iya said.
The TV presenter then said that “Eat Bulaga” has already cemented its legacy on Philippine TV, adding that the show was always associated with Tito, Vic, and Joey, or TVJ.
She added, however, that if the said noontime show would have a different title, she might consider taking on a hosting job with it.
“Siguro kasi I guess it's kind of sensitive especially because of the title. And the memories that it holds, the people that it holds so ayon, if ever, I might consider if it wasn't the title,” Iya said.
Iya is a Filipino-Australian host and actress notably known for her work as a VJ in Myx. She tied the knot with host Drew Arellano back in 2014. Now, they have four kids.
Recently, Iya took to IG Stories and revealed her emotions when she first saw the commercial of her son, Primo. She described her state as one who "teared up" when she saw it. The TV host then said that she was just so proud of her son. Primo and Iya were together in a commercial, which promoted an anti-bug and germs product.
Last March, Iya gave their followers and the public a sneak peek of the house they’re constructing in Rizal. She also expressed her gratitude to those who helped made possible the construction of her dream house. She then showed several sections of their new house where one could a see a playground for her kids. Netizens rushed to write their comments on Iya’s post, where many said Iya’s house shouldn’t be called a tiny home because it’s not tiny. The TV presenter said that it’s really tiny and they would understand what she means if they would see their house in person.
