Lolit Solis, in her recent Instagram post, expressed her feelings with the sudden turn of events with the Philippines’ longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
Manay Lolit said she can’t imagine Eat Bulaga would suddenly be gone and transfer to other networks after airing on GMA for over two decades.
“Parang nakakatamad ang araw Salve. Kasi nga hindi mo alam magiging takbo ng araw mo dahil bigla kung minsan nababago mga plano. Hindi mo ma imagine na mawawala ang Eat Bulaga at lilipat ito ng ibang network after being in GMA7 ng ilang siglo,” Manay Lolit said.
The veteran showbiz columnist also said she can’t imagine the day would come when she wouldn’t be able to watch TVJ on TV, adding that many people grew up with the show.

“Hindi mo ma imagine ang mawawala o hindi mo mapapanuod ang TVJ sa TV. Lumaki tayo at nagdaan mga taon na nandiyan ang EAT Bulaga,” she said.
The columnist also said that TVJ has been part of the daily lunch of many Filipinos, so now that they’re gone, it seems there’s a “kulang.”
“Mula pa nuon part na ng tanghalian natin sila Tito Sotto, Joey de Leon at Vic Sotto. So parang may kulang pag wala sila diyan,” the vetean columnist said.
She said, however, that no matter what happens, TVJ would always be a part of many Pinoys.
“Kahit ano pa sabihin o mangyari, Tito, Vic and Joey will always be a part of us. Kasama na sila sa history ng showbiz, kasabay na sila sa buhay natin, kaya kahit ano mangyari, buong bansa, Eat Bulaga. Bongga✌,” Manay Lolit said.
Lolit is an entertainment reporter, talent manager, and host in the Philippines. She is well-known for her frank commentaries about showbiz.
Recently, the veteran showbiz columnist revealed that she received flowers from Mark Leviste. On her Instagram page, the veteran columnist said she felt like she was Kris Aquino. According to Lolit, she believes it was Kris who advised Mark to send her the flowers. In the caption of her post, Lolit wrote, "Honestly, kung sakali nga at maging forever sila ni Kris matutuwa ako."
In another earlier post, Manay Lolit admitted that a stye or hordeolum, a type of pimple-like bump growing in the eyelash or eyelid and locally known as “kuliti,” developed in her eye which caused severe itchiness. The veteran showbiz columnist said that it must have been karma or a curse on “intrigerang plastic na fat ladies.” In her post, she also revealed what she immediately did after feeling extreme itchiness in her eyes. She also lamented about the health issues she’s starting to feel, then gave her advice to her younger colleagues on what to do while they’re still young.
