Alden Richards, in an interview with Ogie Diaz in the latter’s online show, admitted that he committed a blunder as a host of the Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant.

It can be recalled that the actor was offered by the Bb. Pilipinas organization to be one of the hosts of its prestigious event.
During the pageant proper, the actor committed a blunder that is very much similar to what a popular host of an international beauty pageant did.
“Nagkamali ng announcement yung Ms Congeniality. Ang na-announce niyang winner sa nasabing award ay yung parang Ms. face sa social media something ganun. So, kinorek niya naman agad,” Mama Loi, a co-host in “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update,” said.

Ogie then chimed in that the experience was quite new to Alden, and then proceeded to show their interview with the actor about what happened that night.
“Siyempre kakaibang experience ito para kay Alden Richards. At tinanong nga natin si Alden ano yung masasabi niya sa kanyang experience na mag-host ng beauty pageant. At pangalawa, nagpaka-Steve Harvey siya,” Ogie said.
The next scene then showed their interview with Alden where the actor recounted, albeit not in detail, what happened.
“Alden ano ang feeling at nakapag-host ka ng Ms. Universe-Philippines,” Ogie asked.
“Masarap po sa pakiramdam at different experience po kaya lang may sablay nung una eh,” Alden admitted.
“Yun, wala naman pong may kasalanan, ayoko rin naman pong manisi ng tao. Na-address naman po, nasalo naman po natin ng maayos. Sana po hindi yun ang huli, sana makapag-host pa tayo ng ibang prestigious pageant,” he added.

Another showbiz news personality, Lolit Solis, mentioned Alden in one of her online posts. According to the veteran columnist, the actor is allegedly being closely watched upon. On Instagram, Lolit said, "Talagang ganoon pag nasa itaas ka, pilit kang hinihilang pababa." She then wished the best for Alden, saying that "people with good hearts will always win life struggles."
In a previous Instagram post, Manay Lolit admitted feeling thrilled at the prospect of Coco Martin and Alden Richards working together on a project. She also expressed joy at the successes of Coco in all of his undertakings. The veteran showbiz columnist then said that if the plan for the two pushes through, then it would definitely be a good collab. Manay Lolit then said that for sure, everyone is already excited about the alleged plan to have the two stars in one project.
