One of the intriguing questions that the host asked her was about the statement of Liza Soberano regarding love teams, wherein the younger star said that it would only be through love teams that one could make it big in Philippine showbiz.
The veteran actress unhesitatingly answered that she disagrees with such a notion.
She said that one will be able to hack it in the showbiz world even without a love team.

For Manilyn, "hindi mo kailangan ng isa pa."
She qualified her answer and said that she's not saying that a person does not need a love team, it's just that, somewhere, somehow, one may also need a "ka-love team" especially when growing up.
"Hindi ko sinasabi na hindi mo kailangan ng ka-love team... Somewhere, sometime, somehow, kailangan meron ka ring ka-love team lalo na kapag growing up 'di ba?" said the actress.
Manilyn Reynes was one of the most popular teen stars of the 80's. She is now married to Aljon Jimenez and have wonderful little boys. The actress was also a singer and was a member of That's Entertainment.

Manilyn has kept precious photos she had with Menudo, the popular international stars of the 80's, a member of which was Ricky Martin. She then took to Instagram to post such photos and urged other ka-80's, asking them whoever went gaga over the popular group. Netizens started noticing how cute Manilyn was before, and she had none of the frills that many teenage stars today have.
A photo of young Manilyn also resurfaced on social media. She was seen singing before a huge crowd which is said to be in her barangay. The viral picture attracted mixed reactions from her fans and from other netizens.
