MU 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, binisita kinalakhang lugar sa Malate: “I spent many summer days on this street”

- Reigning Ms Universe, Filipino-American R’Bonney Gabriel, was very happy on setting her foot again in a Malate barangay where she spent many days as a child

- In a social media post, the American fashion designer and reigning Ms. Universe 2022, pointed out streets where she used to walk to buy pandesal and played in when it rained

- She also reminisced the warmth and kindness of her neighbors in Barangay 743 in Malate, Manila

- R’Bonney then said that the street she pointed out showed her how different her life was in America and also taught her how grateful she should be for everything she has right now

R’Bonney Gabriel, the reigning Ms. Universe 2022, expressed her happiness in an Instagram post when she once again was able to set her foot in a Malate barangay where she spent many days as a child.

In her post, the Filipino-American fashion designer and model pointed out streets where she used to walk on to buy pandesal and played in whenever it rains.

“I spent many summer days playing on this street as a child,” R’Bonney wrote in her IG post.

“From walking to buy pandesal in the morning, playing in the rain when it flooded, watching the fiesta parade, and sweating in the heat playing tongits on the plastic tables,” she added.

The 2022 Ms. Universe titleholder also reminisced the warmth and kindness her neighbors showed her.

“I remember the warmth and kindest of the neighbors,” R’Bonney fondly recalled.

She then expressed how grateful she is for what she has right now.

“This street showed me how different my life was in America and taught me how to be grateful for everything I have,” R’Bonney wrote.

R’Bonney Nola Gabriel is a Filipino-American model, fashion designer, and beauty queen who won the Miss Universe 2022 title. Her father is a Filipino and her mother is an American. She also previously won the Miss USA 2022.

In January of this year, USA’s representative to the Ms Universe 2022 won the title. She has Filipino blood by virtue of her father, Remigio Bonzon or “R’Bon,” who was spotted rejoicing at the victory of his daughter.

In her speech, the Ms Universe 2022 thanked her Filipino supporters. Many of Filipinos also cheered and supported her. R'Bonney is the 71st to win the crown in the said prestigious pageant.
