Lolit Solis, in a recent Instagram post, said that actor Daniel Padilla is very lucky when compared to other artists.

She said that the younger Padilla, aside from being constantly invited to guest in shows and sorties, he has many endorsements which range from liquor to shampoo.

“Ang suwerte si Daniel Padilla, imagine mo commercial ng liquor o alak, pati shampoo siya ang endorser,” Manay Lolit said.

The veteran showbiz columnist then noted available work for artists, which she said is starting to become scarce.

“Parang ang konti ngayon ng trabaho para sa mga artista,” the veteran columnist said.

“Suwerte iyon laging nakukuha para sa guesting o kaya may regular na show. Pero iyon wala, hayun jobless muna at abang abang,” she added.

She also said that some companies are starting to get ordinary people as endorsers because they’re the ones who tend to really use the product.

“Pati nga mga commercial ngayon mga regular na tao na kinukuha endorser dahil mas naniniwala pang ginagamit nila ang produkto,” the columnist said.
“Nawala na talaga ang star power o kaya naghahanap na ng mga bagong stars ang mga fans. Iba na talaga ang panahon Salve at Gorgy, sumasabay na sa pagbabago ang lahat. Kaya pati tayo, kailangan narin ang changes. Bongga” Manay Lolit concluded.

The columnist said she wasn’t able to ask if, like before, the brand is still number one in the market because of its cheap price. She then mentioned the names of several of her associates who would buy the brand every time they go to the mall. Manay Lolit then reminisced about the simple beginnings of Joel, who is now a millionaire because of his perfumes.

In another social media post, she made a claim about the dream of some Pinoy artists to have a chance of becoming a Hollywood star is like shooting at the moon. She said that aside from Liza Soberano, there were already many actors who have tried their luck in trying to become a Hollywood star and appear in international movies. The veteran showbiz columnist said that while Pinoy actors have the beauty and talent to land a role in an international Hollywood film, the dream remains elusive. Manay Lolit then wondered why Pinoy actors still wanted to have a crack at Hollywood when they are already doing good in the Philippines in terms of their showbiz careers.
