Lolit Solis, in a recent Instagram post, said that the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe organization made the right move in getting Alden Richards and Xian Lim as Ms. Universe hosts.

She remarked that for her, having two male hosts in a beauty pageant is kind of unique.

“Ang ganda ng ginawa ng Bb. Pilipinas Universe Salve na ang kunin hosts para sa pageant ay mga tulad nila Alden Richards at Xian Lim. Kakaiba dahil parehong male hosts at beauty pageant ito,” Manay Lolit said.

She specifically pointed out Alden as being good at hosting jobs, which is why Manay Lolit presumed he was chosen to act as host in a show that is eagerly monitored by many people.

“Talagang nakita na ang husay ni Alden Richards sa pagiging host kaya siguro pinili siya para sa beauty contest na talagang laging inaabangan ng tao,” she said.

“Tutoong hasang hasa na ang kakayahan ni Alden sa mga ganitong okasyon. Very articulate at very charming si Alden Richards kaya naman gustong gusto siyang ka trabaho ng lahat,” the veteran showbiz columnist added.

Manay Lolit also pointed out the fact that Alden immediately became the choice of the Bb. Pilipinas-Universe organization because they knew Alden could perform his job well.

“Siya agad ang choice para sa pageant at alam ng organization ng Bb Pilipinas na magagawa niya ng mahusay ang trabaho,” she said.

Manay Lolit then said that it would be another feather in the cap for GMA7 and said that such hosting jobs could add premium to the career of Alden Richards.

“At isa na naman itong karangalan para sa GMA7 na humasa ng husto sa kakayahan at talento ni Alden. Mabuti para sa career ni Alden Richards ang mga ganitong hosting jobs na napapanuod ng maraming tao,” she said.

“Multi talented talaga si Alden Richards na isang mahusay na actor sa drama at comedy, plus now heto at isa na rin mahusay na host. Tunay na isang anak ng sining dahil inaaral na mabuti ang anuman trabaho na gusto niyang gawin. Kaya naman gusto talaga ng lahat na mapanuod ang Bb Pilipinas para makita mananalo plus of course panuorin ang hosting job ni Alden Richards. Bongga” Manay Lolit concluded.

The columnist said she wasn’t able to ask if, like before, the brand is still number one in the market because of its cheap price. She then mentioned the names of several of her associates who would buy the brand every time they go to the mall. Manay Lolit then reminisced about the simple beginnings of Joel, who is now a millionaire because of his perfumes.
