Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika recently talked about Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay during “Cristy Ferminute” on Friday.

The veteran showbiz columnist and her co-host expressed their thoughts on the couple’s acting hiatus.

“Pa ano-ano muna sila, baka-bakasyon. Pa-journey-journey muna,” Cristy aired.

To which Romel reacted, “Marami naman silang pera, Nay, kaya hindi sila pressured gumawa ng mga bagay-bagay, diba?”

“Ang sarap din ng ganu'ng buhay eh, ano? 'Yung sandamakmak ang pera mong nakatabi na pupwede mong gastusin sa pagpapasaya sa iyong sarili, diba? Katulad nila. Eh ano ngayon kung 3 milyon ang gastos papunta sa ganito o papunta sa ganyan. Aba, utang na loob nila sa sarili nila 'yon. Nagpakapagod naman sila ng mahabang panahon. Regalo nila 'yon sa kanilang mga sarili,” said Cristy.

“At saka, Nay, ang tingin ko lang talaga magtatagal sila kasi binibigyan nila ng oras ang isa't isa. Walang gumagawa ng mga proyekto,” Romel remarked.

Furthermore, Cristy shared her thoughts on some unsolicited remarks about Ellen and Derek’s trips abroad.

“Kaya 'yun pong mga nagsasabi ng, 'Ano ba naman 'tong mga artistang 'to? Wala nang ginagawa kundi magliwaliw, gumastos,' ibigay po natin 'yon sa kanila. 'Yun po 'yung regalong tinatawag sa kanilang pagtatrabaho nang singkad.”

“Gaya ni Derek at ni Ellen. Nagpunta sila sa kung saan-saang bansa. Kaligayahan nila 'yon. Hindi natin dapat 'yon harangan. Unang-una, pera naman nila 'yung ginagastos nila,” she added.
