Ethel Espiritu, a former ABS-CBN executive, expressed her opinion in a Twitter post that Liza Soberano shouldn’t have been interviewed by Bea Alonzo.

The former ABS-CBN executive gave her opinion through a tweet in light of the interview of Liza by Bea for the YouTube channel of the latter.

It can be recalled that in Bea’s interview of her, Liza again made some controversial remarks that made her a subject to more bashings.

In the said interview, the actress talked about her love team with Enrique Gil and how she failed to see it would eventually become a problem.

“At the time when I was in a love team, 'di ko naisip na problema siya actually. Quen was my comfort zone. It wasn't till later that I realized, ‘Oh my god, ang daming kong hindi ginawa sa career ko,’” Liza said during her interview with Bea Alonzo.

She also gave her opinion on love teams, calling them a phenomenon that only exists in the Philippines.

“Love team is a phenomenon [that is] only created in the Philippines, and it only exists in the Philippines. To box a woman like that is so dangerous for her mental health and growth,” the actress further said.

In reaction to Liza’s statements in her interview with Bea, former ABS-CBN executive Ethel Espiritu tweeted her sentiments.

“Tsaka ako ito ha. If she really wanted to clear things out- it should not be Bea Alonzo to interview her. It’s not good for both of them-for obvious reasons we all know,” Ethel said.

She did not elaborate further on her statement, though said that she would go back to minding her own business for now.

“Anyway, I will go back to minding my own business in this showbusiness☺️ have a great week ahead! Peace✌,” Ethel wrote.

Liza, or Hope, as she prefers to be called now, is a Fil-Am actress, singer, endorser, and model. She has starred in various TV series and movies, which include 'Forevermore,' 'Dolce Amore,' and 'Bagani,' among others. She is currently in a relationship with her on-screen partner, Enrique Gil.

In a separate tweet, the former ABS-CBN executive also gave Liza Soberano an unsolicited advice. She advised Liza to first review and reassess what she’s going to say before even saying it. She also described the latest move of the actress as “personal career growth media release gone wrong.” It can be recalled that Liza made some controversial statements in her vlog, in an interview with Bea Alonzo, and in a recent talk with Boy Abunda.

Another ABS-CBN official, Direk Lauren Dyogi, has also previously given his opinion on the current issues that Liza Soberano is facing. According to the ABS-CBN director, Liza might be going through a phase called "quarter life questioning." Direk Lauren also stated that Liza is very lucky because she was presented with opportunities, which is not presented to many who also aspire to improve their lives. He clarified though that they allowed her to explore and aspire for something better for herself because her accomplishment would also be an accomplishment for those who helped her from the start.
