On GMA's report, the vocalist Monty Macalinao, revealed that it was in 2003 that he wrote the hit song.

He got the inspiration after he saw Jopay during a Lenten special of the noontime show "Eat Bulaga."

According to him, he had the idea of being able to write a love song for a celeb.

Jopay Paguia is a Filipina singer, dancer and actress. She is also a member of Sexbomb Singers, together with Rochelle Pangilinan. She is also a cousin of singer-actress Nadine Lustre.

Recently, the video of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra playing the popular song "Jopay", which was shared by a netizen has gone viral. Netizens love the unique version of the song Jopay by the band Mayonnaise. Even though this is an orchestra, it can be seen that the viewers enjoy singing along.
