Ogie Diaz has clarified a few things about the percentage of his commission regarding his former talents—Liza Soberano and Vice Ganda.

In his latest vlog called 'Showbiz Update' on YouTube, KAMI learned that his co-host Loi Villarama asked him about the matter.

"Hanggang 20 lamang po kami," the talent manager began to which Loi asked, "20? Diba 30% ang kontrata niyo ni Liza Soberano?"

According to Ogie, he just wanted to set the bar straight after a netizen accused him of getting 40% as his commission from his talents.

"Ganito yun ah, ipaliliwanag ko lamang sa inyo. Wala kaming ano dito ah, na mang-aaway kami or something. Hindi si Liza ang nagsabi nun, meron isang tao, Taffy ba ang pangalan nun? Yung 40% daw ang kinukuha ko. No, it's not true at all. I was only getting 20%. At yung sinasabi mo kanina na 30%, kapag ikaw ang nag-aalaga, nagma-manage ka. Dapat pag-umpisa pa lang nung talent, 30 na, 30% why? Kasi gagastusan mo siya. Para kang nagluwal ng sanggol," he said.

Eventually, Ogie also explained that he and Liza did start at 30% before he decided to reduce it to 20% after seeing the actress's hard work.

"Ako na lumabag sa sarili kong kontrata, oo, kasi nakikita mo talaga yung sipag nung bata. Makikita mo talaga kay Liza yung gusto niyang mag-excel, gusto niya talagang ma-achieve yung goal niya bilang artista. Hindi ako naawa, kundi sabi ko, 'Deserve ng batang 'to. 20 na lang.' Kaya 20 at alam yan ni Daddy John, from 25 yun eh," he explained before adding, "Para lang makapag-ipon yung bata."

"Eh 'nay dati yun kay Vice? Ilang percent ka?" Loi asked, referring to Vice Ganda, who was Ogie's former talent.

"Para lang malinaw sa inyo ano, kami naman ni Vice ay magkaibigan kami. Si Vice noon sabi niya sakin, 'I-manage mo na ako kasi si K Brosas andiyan na, si Gladys Guevarra andiyan na, si Chokoleit andiyan na, si Pooh andiyan na, si Ate Gay andiyan na. Ako na lang ang wala pa.' Sabi sakin ni Vice, 'Kahit 50/50 tayo.' Kung hidhid ako sa salapi, kinagat ko yun but I told Vice, 'No, kahit 20 na lang. Okay lang ako,'" Ogie revealed.

In real life, Roger Diaz Pandaan, or Ogie Diaz, is an actor, comedian, entertainment reporter, and talent manager. He was known as “Pekto” in the popular TV sitcom, “Palibhasa Lalaki.” He is also behind the YouTube channel “Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update.” He became a successful talent manager and once handled the careers of Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano.

As previously reported by KAMI, Ogie Diaz and Loi Villarama have talked about Liza Soberano again in their vlog. Just recently, Ogie revealed that he tried to persuade Liza to star in the Philippine adaptation of a Korean show. According to Ogie, the Korean series in mind was "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," which stars Seo Yeji and Kim Soohyun.

Meanwhile, Ogie Diaz was approached by Cristy Fermin regarding Liza Soberano. In "Cristy Ferminute" online, the veteran columnist said she informed Ogie about mentioning Liza on her show. According to Cristy, although Ogie and Liza have parted ways as a manager and talent, Ogie still loves Liza like his own kid.
