Darryl Yap, tinawag na sinungaling sina Direk Joel Lamangan at Cherry Pie Picache: "Ang tatanda nyo na!"

- The controversial director went on to say that Direk Joel and Cherry Pie were allegedly liars for making such a claim

- He also called the two allegedly having thick faces for trying to make fools of Filipinos

Darryl Yap, during the grand media conference of his movie, ‘Martyr or Murderer’, said that Direk Joel Lamangan and Cherry Pie Picache were both liars.

The controversial director made this statement in front of the press and vloggers on February 20 after the media conference.

He told the group that he would once and for all, answer the question that everyone has been dying to ask.

“This is my ultimate statement and I’m not gonna repeat it,” the controversial director said.

Direk Darryl then refuted the statement of Direk Joel about the former releasing ‘Martyr or Murderer’ to counter ‘Oras de Peligro’.

“For once, hindi kami ang tumatapat. Secondly, hindi kami natatakot sa inyo. Huwag kayong sinungaling,” Direk Darryl said.

It can be recalled that Direk Joel in July of 2022 said that he will counter ‘Maid in Malacañang’, a previous movie made by Direk Darryl, with another movie, which turned out to be ‘Oras de Peligro’.

In August of 2022, the controversial director revealed he’s planning to make the movie ‘Martyr or Murderer’.

“Direk Joel, kaoopera mo lang nung December. Paulit-ulit ko yang sinasabi sa sarili ko para hindi humantong sa ganito, but you just don’t stop,” Direk Darryl said.

“Huwag kang magsinungaling na kami ang tumatapat sa yo. Ikaw ang tumapat sa amin. Kung hindi matanggap ng ego mo na isang gaya ko lang ang tatapatan mo, problema mo na yon,” he added.

The controversial director also called out the statement of Allen Dizon about their movie’s release date.

“Ang paplastik nyo naman. Ang tatanda nyo na ang sinungaling nyo pa,” the young director said.

He then asked Direk Joel and Cherry Pie not to have such thick faces.

“Huwag masyadong makapal ang mukha ninyo. This is the day of information technology. Lahat ng sasabihin ninyo, may record,” Direk Darryl said of Direk Joel and Cherry Pie.

Darryl Yap is a director and screenwriter. He is the one behind the popular Vincentiments page. He also directed "Maid in Malacañang."

Recently, Direk Darryl took to Facebook and made a somewhat lengthy post about those who say they don't want to work with him. The director said that he does not know how he would react to those who are saying such things. He said that he does not want to be cruel but left a quote that says the offer comes first before one can refuse. It can be recalled that JK Labajo was asked by a group of reporters if he would want to be directed by Darryl, to which he said "no."

Earlier, JK, in an interview with some reporters revealed his stance on working with Darryl Yap. He was asked if he was willing to be directed by Darryl Yap. The singer said with conviction that "definitely" it's a no for him. He added that he does not want to work with the said director.
