Mayor Javi Benitez of Victorias City in Negros Occidental, and also the boyfriend of Sue Ramirez, strongly denounced the burning of 8,000 trays of eggs, which comprised 240,000 pieces of eggs.

The value of the burned eggs was at around P1.4 million.

In an IG Story, the mayor expressed his disapproval of what transpired in Bacolod.

According to the mayor, there is a recognition of what is right and what is wrong.

However, food that is meant for people, must be given to the people.

He found the burning of the eggs as "sayang."

The mayor hoped for a better solution for it, as it can be donated to those who are hungry.

He said that he cannot just stay silent, and that he needed to express his sentiments towards the said act.

Sue Anna Garina Dodd, known professionally as Sue Ramirez, is a mestiza Filipina actress, model and singer. Her first major role was as supporting cast member on the ABS-CBN remake of the TV drama Mula Sa Puso.

Last year, Sue also took to her IG Stories and shared an old photo of her and Jovit Baldivino. She said that it was her profile picture on Facebook before. The actress emphasized that Jovit was indeed her idol, which was why her profile pic on FB was their photo. Sue was utterly surprised when she learned of the singer's passing.
