The veteran showbiz columnist reacted to Willie’s recent statement about his P10,000 financial assistance to some reporters during the height of the pandemic.
“Dalawang taon, hindi ko pinutol yan,” he claimed.
In her program, Cristy aired, “Noong isang araw po kasi ay mayroong isinigaw si Willie Revillame sa kanyang programang Wowowin."

"Isinumbat niya sa mga reporters na noon daw pong panahon ng pandemya, 'Sino bang nagbibigay sa kanila ng 10,000 a month? Ako ang nagbigay sa kanila ng pambili ng bigas sa loob ng dalawang taon sa pandemya.'”
Cristy then said she has a correction on Willie’s claims.
“Ako na po ang magko-correct,” she aired.
“Kasi sabi nga niya, 'Yung mga tao, yung mga reporters, yung mga artista mahihirap na inilalapit po sa akin, pinagbigyan ko naman ah,' parang ganu'n. So sige po, ako na po ang naging tulay ng mga manunulat na talaga naman pong kahit hindi magsalita ay alam ko naman pong nahihirapan.”
“Iko-correct ko lamang po, dalawang taon mahigit po ang pandemya. Hindi po totoo yung kanyang sinabi na sa loob ng dalawang taon na umiiral ang pandemya ay nagpapadala siya ng sampung libo sa mga reporters. Isa pang malaking kalokohan 'yon."
"Alam na alam ko po 'yon dahil sa amin po dumadaan sa Gallery, pinadadala niya kay Edith 'yung halagang pinadadala niya. At hindi po 'yan tumagal ng isang taon, mga ilang buwan lamang po 'yan.”
Furthermore, Cristy stressed the importance of reporters to showbiz personalities’ careers.
“Kaya sabi nga ng mga reporters, 'Bakit naman ganu'n? Isinusumbat pa sa amin.' Nakakalimutan po yata kasi ni Willie Revillame na ang kanyang karera ay may ka-partner, diba? Sa karera ng mga personalidad, napakalaki po ng tulong na nagagawa ng hanay ng mga manunulat."
"Kapag ang artista ay nangangailangan ng tulong at naiipit sila, reporters ang nakapagpapakalat ng impormasyon. Kapag kailangan nilang i-promote ang isang proyekto, reporters pa rin po ang kanilang kailangang takbuhan para maipaalam sa publiko kung ano ang kanilang ginagawa.”
