Mama Lulu, binigyang-diin ang respeto sa service workers sa gitna ng Alex Gonzaga-waiter fiasco

Mama Lulu, a known Internet personality, took to Twitter and weighed in on the controversial video of Alex Gonzaga, where she smeared icing on the forehead of a waiter.

The elderly and well-loved Mama Lulu said that such can only be done to her by a blood relative, and she would get mad if it would be done by strangers.

This was her response when she was asked by her son, Olly, what she would be doing if she were in the stead of the waiter.

For Mama Lulu, it is only her son who can do it to her since she knows that he loves her.

"Siyempre magagalit ako kung ibang tao. Anak ko lang ang makakagawa sa akin nyan siyempre kadugo ko, mahal ako nun, alam ko. Pero kung ibang tao, ibang usapan na 'yun, bastusan na 'yun 'diba?"

At the end of her video, she emphasized respect to be given to every person regardless of his or her stature in life.

"Hindi dapat ganun, respeto lang ang hinihingi ng bawat tao sa isa't isa. Mababa man o maliit, kailangan mo respetuhin dahil nagtatrabaho ng marangal 'yung tao."

The video has gained reaction from many social media personalities, as well as netizens.

Alex Gonzaga is a Filipina actress and comedienne, best known for being one of the most successful YouTube vloggers in the country. She is also the sister of actress Toni Gonzaga and the wife of Lipa, Batangas Councilor Mikee Morada.

Alex was invited by former Comelec Commissioner Atty. Rowena Guanzon to her home city's Dinagsa festival in Negros Occidental. The former commissioner said that her home city, Cadiz City in Negros Occidental, will be having its Lamhitanay sa Dalan for the Dinagsa Festival. She said that it is legal to smear paint on the faces of people. Guanzon further urged the vlogger to come because it is fun and if she does, she would just have to watch out for the former commissioner.

Arnold Clavio took to Instagram and said that he was hurt with the way that Alex Gonzaga treated the waiter in the viral video. The GMA News broadcaster revealed that he was once a waiter, which is why he has high respects for them. He narrated that eh worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken Roxas Boulevard from 1985-1987. For Arnold, Alex wrongly treated the waiter, considering that the video showed that the waiter could be seen as allegedly feeling hurt, shame and insulted.
