Catriona Gray pens heartfelt thank you post to Celeste Cortesi: "We're so proud"

Catriona Gray, 29, has shown her appreciation, as well as utmost gratitude to Miss Universe Philippine 2022 Celeste Cortesi.

On her Instagram page, @catriona_gray, KAMI learned that the former Miss Universe titleholder reposted a photo of Celeste at the prestigious event.

She then penned a sweet and heartfelt message to Celeste, saying that the latter did her very best in representing the Philippines.

In the caption of her online post, Catriona said that Celeste handled the "pressuring of carrying" the Philippine flag.

Aside from this, Catriona even mentioned that she is extremely proud of Celeste and her journey in the said beauty pageant.

"Thank you for doing your best for the Philippines. You handled the pressure of carrying our flag so well! We're so proud, mabuhay ka," she wrote.

Earlier, Celeste made headlines when she failed to advance to the Top 16 of the said beauty pageant, with Miss USA 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, a Filipino-American, winning.

This year's beauty pageant results ended the Philippines' 12-year semifinals streak which became a trending topic on social media.

Catriona Gray is a beauty queen, singer, performer, host and endorser in the Philippines. She rose to fame after winning Miss Universe 2018 representing the Philippines. Catriona used to be in a relationship with actor Clint Bondad but she is now dating actor Sam Milby.
