Matet de Leon could not help but shed tears in her latest interview as she talked about her mother, Nora Aunor, and her siblings.

Just recently, KAMI learned that the celebrity mom was invited by actor-manager, Ogie Diaz, for a much-needed interview.

Halfway through the interview, Matet turned emotional, shedding tears as she talked about defending herself and her siblings this time around.

According to Matet, she and her siblings have to defend themselves from the bashing and criticisms they have been receiving.

"You know, we have to defend ourselves also. Kasi kagaya ng sinabi ko dati, para kaming nakabusal. Wala kaming pwedeng sabihin, para kaming nakatali. Wala kaming pwedeng gawin. Tapos sasampal-sampalin lang kami ng mga tao. Proteksyon namin kay mommy yun,” she revealed.

While in tears, Matet said she and her siblings kept their silence to protect their mother from everyone else.

"Mahirap. Ayaw namin siyang masira kaya nagpapasampal kami sa mga tao. Kung pagsalitaan kami, akala mo nakatira sa bahay. Pero yung mismong nakatira sa bahay namin, na alam kung ano nangyayari, sila yung hindi nagsasalita,” she said.

She then added that this time around, she has to defend and protect herself, as well as her siblings from bashers.

"Hindi kami pwedeng magsalita. Tignan mo yung nangyari sa akin ngayon. Kahit na mali yung ginawa, ako pa rin ang mali. Oras na para ipagtanggol ko ang sarili ko at ang mga kapatid ko rin,” she said.

Matet de Leon is a Filipina actress who is one of the four adopted children of Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon, along with fellow actress Lotlot de Leon. Matet is married to Mickey Estrada with whom she has four children.

As previously reported by KAMI, Matet De Leon was bashed by a netizen amid her rift with her adoptive mother Nora Aunor. The basher accused Matet of wanting attention because she is supposedly no longer famous. Additionally, the netizen called Matet an “ampon” who should be grateful to the people who raised her.

Meanwhile, Matet De Leon sent a message to some Noranians, the name of the fans of Nora Aunor, who have been bashing her and her siblings. They have been bashed online after Matet complained about her mother Nora putting up a direct competition to her gourmet tuyo business.
