Ogie Diaz, ipinagtataka ang kontrobersiyang kinasasangkutan ni Roderick Paulate

Ogie Diaz could not help but wonder why Roderick Paulate, a veteran actor and comedian, was found guilty of graft and falsification charges.

In his latest 'Showbiz Update' vlog, KAMI learned that Ogie talked about the said controversy together with his co-host, Mama Loi.

Recalling the issue, Ogie mentioned how the veteran actor would face up to 62 years in jail after his stint as a councilor in Quezon City.

According to Ogie, as December just recently hit, the veteran actor-comedian became the talk of the town because of the issue.

"December na December, ang balita ngayon si Kuya Díck, si Roderick Paulate ay parang guilty na beyond reasonable doubt sa mga kasong kinasasangkutan niya ngayon nung siya ay konsehal pa lamang noong 2010. Oo, syempre hinatulan siya ng mga 62 years," he said.

When Mama Loi asked if everything was final already, Ogie said, "Mag-MR pa yan, motion for reconsideration. Pag hindi, eh pupunta na sila sa supreme court."

Eventually, the talent manager added that in their industry, Roderick has made a great name for himself.

"Eh syempre, dito naman sa aming industriya, si Kuya Díck, napakaganda ng pangalan. Sana nga lang daw hindi na siya pumasok sa politics, nagugulo lalo yung kanyang buhay, yung kanyang career diba?" he said.

At one point, Ogie even added, "Mabait naman sa showbiz yan, matulungin din sa showbiz yan, kaya nagtataka kami bakit may ganyang issue siya?"

Ogie Diaz is a comedian and a talent manager who once handled the careers of Vice Ganda and Liza Soberano. He is also among the most outspoken celebs as he will not mince words when he comments on something, whether it be in showbiz or politics.

As previously reported by KAMI, Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi have discussed celebrity couple Neil Arce and Angel Locsin in their 'Showbiz Update'. Previously, Neil made headlines when he flexed the early Christmas gift he got from his wife. In the viral video, Ogie said that Angel's gift for her husband is proof that they are still "very much together."

Meanwhile, Ogie Diaz and Mama Loi have talked about AJ Raval and the rumors circulating about the latter. Earlier, one of Ogie's sources claimed that the actress allegedly gave birth to her baby already. While AJ has yet to address the rumors, Loi said that the latter was missing from her film screening.
