Anthony Taberna, ikinuwento ang lambing sa kanya ng anak na si Zoey: “Daddy, hawakan mo po yung kamay ko”

- During those times, he was with Zoey as she submits herself for leukemia treatment

- Ka Tunying said his daughter would often ask him to hold her hand so she won’t feel alone

Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna, in an Instagram post showing a photo of his hand holding the hand of his daughter Zoey, said he slipped into a meditative mood because of the gloomy weather.

He said he can’t help but become sentimental and recall the sad moments that he experienced during the year.

Ka Tunying then revealed that the photo was taken at the time his daughter was being treated for leukemia at a Singapore hospital.

“Makulimlim ang panahon, parang naging senti tuloy ako,” the premier broadcaster said.

“January 22, 2022 ang picture na ito. Kamay namin ito ni Zoey habang nakaratay siya sa pagamutan dun sa Singapore halos sampung buwan na ang nakakalipas,” Ka Tunying said about the photo he posted.

“Di maiwasang alalahanin ang mga malulungkot na nangyari sa taong ito.. Ito yung mga panahon na alam kong pinipilit niyang maging matapang kahit napakasakit, napakakirot ng kaniyang pakiramdam,” he added.

Ka Tunying then said that his daughter would often call him by her side and ask him to hold her hand so she won’t feel alone.

“Sa aking upuan ay tinawag niya ako na tumabi sa kaniyang higaan. Hiling niya sakin ‘Daddy, hawakan mo po yung kamay ko. When I'm holding your hand, I don't feel alone’, sabi ni Zoey,” Ka Tunying said.

He said he would immediately comply so his daughter would feel a bit okay.

“Yun naman ang gagawin ko at kahit ano pang sabihin niya upang maibsan ang kaniyang lungkot, takot at iniindang kirot,” the broadcaster said.

Ka Tunying then talked about the event that transpired earlier, noting that nothing is impossible if one has faith.

“Kanina sa pagsamba, naluha man ako ay hindi dahil sa kalungkutan kungdi kaligayahan nang basahin ng aming Pastor na si Bro. Riovida Roy ang talata na wari ay kasagutan sa aking tanong noon pang unang nagkasakit si Zoey. Ito rin ay testamento ng pakikinig ng Diyos nang pagalingin Niya si Zoey,” he said.

Anthony Taberna is a Filipino broadcaster. He is known as Ka Tunying. He is known for being a part of ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda and of Dos Por Dos. Anthony used to be a broadcaster on ABS-CBN but he is now part of the AMBS 2 family.

About a month ago, Ka Tunying also took to social media to lecture the people who deleted their Shopee accounts after the company hired Toni Gonzaga as its new endorser. Taberna said that those people who canceled Shopee have not learned their lessons. He believes that boycotting Shopee is foolishness and that majority of Filipinos do not approve of boycotting the said company. Ka Tunying also advised those people to move on, stop bickering, and avoid hurting themselves.

In a separate post written by veteran showbiz columnist Lolit Solis, she admitted that Ka Tunying is one of her favorite newscasters. She said that she admires Anthony for his skill and prowess in delivering his thoughts and courage in his commentaries. The veteran showbiz columnist also expressed her opinion that in case Ka Tunying would go to Villar TV, he would be a great asset. Manay Lolit then said that she’s already excited as to what station she would be able to watch the newscaster.
