One basher commented that Rita and her partner are just relying on their parents to provide for their baby. Rita and her boyfriend denied this accusation, saying that both of them already have stable sources of income.
According to the boyfriend, even though they earn money already, their parents sometimes help them out voluntarily. He clarified that he and Rita do not request their parents to give them gifts and money.

“Ang mga magulang, andyan yan. Kahit hindi kami humingi, tumutulong sila, nasa likod lang sila.
“Pero hindi kami nanghihingi,” Badjao Girl’s boyfriend clarified.
Rita Gaviola rose to fame when her photos during a festival in Lucban, Quezon were uploaded online. That was also the start of a better life for her. She got more popular when she joined Pinoy Big Brother 7. As of this writing, Rita has 198,000 followers on Instagram and nearly 1 million followers on TikTok.
Rita made headlines recently after announcing that she is now a mom. She took to social media to share posts that show her cradling her baby. Some bashers, however, wrote unsolicited comments on her posts which prompted Rita to reply. In one of her replies, the first-time mom said she is proud of herself for not resorting to abortion “para lang sa career."
Rita also aired her reaction to the bashings she received when she announced that she is now a parent. During her guesting on Eat Bulaga’s “Bawal Judgmental” segment, Rita could not help but cry while sharing how she handles her bashers. She likewise shared some of the rude comments she read about her. The celebrity mom also urged her detractors to spare her baby from bashing.
