Maxene Magalona took to IG and penned a long piece of advice to all men concerning their emotions.

The actress said that men must stop suppressing their emotions and that they should feel them and be with them

"This goes out to my brothers, guy friends and all the men out there—please stop suppressing your emotions."

She then said that she knows it's quite scary to feel uncomfortable feelings especially when they all come at once, but emphasized that it is okay not to be okay.

"It’s time that we acknowledge that in society today, men are heavily pressured to stay strong by not showing any signs of weakness such as crying or being soft. Throw away the idea that to be strong means to deny vulnerability and emotions."

She said that denying the pain is the one that makes people weak.

"Denying our pain is what makes us weak. Facing it and learning how to deal with it head on is what makes us strong."

At the end of her post, she expressed her love for her brothers.

Maxene Magalona is an actress and social media star in the Philippines. Her father is the late rap legend, Francis Magalona. The actress revealed in May 2020 that she has been seeing a psychiatrist due to her mental illness.

The star added that being kind, fearless, loving and energetic is more essential than going to school, getting married, having kids, and working for money. Likewise, she advised them not to merely exist but to find their authentic self and live their truth without apologies.
