Netizens react to Joyce Pring’s explanation about her “non-believers go to hell” comment

"I’ve seen many things said about me in the past 2 days — mean things, horrible names, false stories, etc. So I just want to clear the air here and say this: some of you guys are absolutely right; I’ve been a bad person."

She then went on to explain abut her own weaknesses, what she believes in, saying that maybe she's worse than what many think.

Joyce elaborated on her own religious beliefs, about Jesus, and that she believes that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone and in Christ alone.

"Maybe even a worse person than you’d think. I’ve had the messiest history, I’ve made bad decisions, I’ve hurt people— I’ve done it all, and if I’m being honest, I still make pretty awful mistakes to this day.
And that’s precisely why I believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ - that salvation comes only through Him; not through our works, or by our own merit. Jesus died on the Cross precisely for hopeless, depressed, sinful people like me — because I’d have no chance at Heaven if it were just up to me."

Joyce Pring is among the hosts of the Kapuso morning show “Unang Hirit”. She tied the knot with actor Juancho Triviño in February 2020. The television host gave birth to her son, Alonso Eliam Pring Triviño, on July 2 via normal delivery.

Wil and Joyce had a recent podcast, which has gotten a lot of social media attention. Pring addressed a question thrown by Wil during the former's "Adulting with Joyce Print - Unpacking Christianity." At one point, Wil asked Pring about her opinion on whether non-believers, referring to those who don't believe in Jesus, would also go to heaven. Pring then categorically said that non-believers will be facing judgment and will be going to hell and Wil answered that it was so brutal.

Joyce recently penned a lengthy post on her Instagram Stories. She expressed her optimistic message to Filipinos who feel “defeated, discouraged, hopeless.” The TV host uplifted them by reminding them that there is a King above all kings and he is Jesus. The celebrity mom, now having a vacation in Madrid, Spain with her family, shared her post after “catching up with everything that’s been happening in the Philippines”.
