Markus Paterson once again addressed the backlash he received due to his earlier statement regarding dating and relationships.

It can be recalled that in the first episode of 'Boys After Dark' on Rise Artists Studio YouTube channel, Markus had a fiery remark about dating someone in the showbiz industry.

In the said online show's third episode, the actor then gave some messages to those who reacted to his statement negatively.

"So going back to Episode 1 and the recent backlash of that. I would like to keep this very short and sweet. If I could go back in time and change what I said, honestly, I would not. I stand by what I said because what I said comes from my past, from my truth, and that's my honest opinion about my future potential relationships. 'Yun lang 'yon."

He likewise urged people to refrain from jumping to conclusions.

“Secondly, huwag kayong mag-assume. Okay, Let's not jump to conclusions or anything because you kinda are."

Markus also mentioned his former girlfriend, Janella Salvador, and expressed how much he respects the actress.

"Thirdly, I repect Janella to the utmost of my ability. The woman that she's become, the mother that she's become. I will love her forever. She's given me the best gift of my life. 'Yun lang."

Markus Paterson recently visited a farm in Bukidnon where some of Cherie Gil's ashes were scattered. He shared on social media a photo showing him and Cherie’s memorial in Tuminugan Farm in Bukidnon. The actor also penned a heartfelt message to the late La Primera Contravida in the caption.
