Alessandra de Rossi, in an interview by Camille Prats for the vlog channel of the latter, revealed the real reason why she quit school to pursue a career in acting.

The actress and recording artist said that acting was a form of escape from her formal studies way back when she was still attending school.

“Kasi nga ayoko mag-aral, ayun talaga yung totoong reason. Napagod ako, ayoko nito,” Alessandra said.

She said that her mother, who was a Latin honor awardee upon graduating from college, warned her against quitting school.

Alessandra, however, did realize the wise words of her mother and admitted feeling a little remorseful for not listening to her advice.

The actress she felt it particularly during the initial stages of the COVID-19 pandemic where she was stuck at home without any film projects.

“True enough may ganun pagsisisi. Sometimes lalo na nung pandemic yung marerealize mo totoo ata yung sinasabi na get a real job kasi hindi pang frontliner yung trabaho ko. Di ako pang frontliner dapat ata nagtapos ako ng pag-aaral tapos naghanap hanap ako ng courses online andami na-overwhelm ako,” Alessandra said.

She just jokingly told herself at the time to just google how to be beautiful since the world is nicer to prettier women.

Alessandra de Rossi is a Filipino actress and also the younger sister of actress Assunta de Rossi. She has won a FAMAS Awards Best Supporting Actress for the movie Azucena.

A year ago, Alessandra revealed she had to be taken to the hospital thrice after shooting "My Amanda." This was also attested to by Piolo Pascual, who was her leading man in the film. According to the actress, they had a shoot in La Union for nine consecutive days and being the director, writer and actress, it was stressful for her. When she was at the hospital thrice, they found nothing and they told her that it must only be stress.

Before that, she spent time with her adorable niece, baby Fiore. The actress shared a photo on Instagram showing her cradling the baby girl. Alessandra and the celebrity baby’s double chins were also visible in the said snapshot. The 36-year-old star then wrote a hilarious caption about double chin.
