Everyone was there, wearing a white top filled with the love that they share for the veteran actress.
In the family picture though, one could see that love abounds, everyone was smiling.

Michael de Mesa, the last living sibling of their generation, took to IG and shared a sweet caption, "I know you were with us — smiling, crying, and laughing at the beautiful memories we shared of you with each other."
“I know you were with us — smiling, crying, and laughing at the beautiful memories we shared of you with each other," Michael wrote in the caption.
“We miss you so much! But in our grief, we smile knowing that you are hugging Ralph again,” he added, referring to their brother, Mark Gil.
“We love you, Cherie!” he said.
Cherie Gil is a multi-awarded film and TV actress. She was best known for her role as Lavinia Arguelles in "Bituing Walang Ningning." In the said movie, she starred alongside Sharon Cuneta, where the iconic copycat scene was filmed.
Lea Salonga took to social media to pay tribute to Cherie Gil, who died at the age of 59. She was able to watch Cherie in two shows, where she disappeared into her roles and exuded a strong yet human presence onstage. The singer-actress added that Cherie was one of a kind, a person she will never forget. Many netizens expressed their appreciation for Lea’s post including Michael de Mesa – Cherie’s brother.
A writer-director to whom Cherie Gil has been giving her support has posted a video of the actress. It was the last birthday greeting that Cherie did for him. He said that the last always hurts especially if one did not know that it would be the last. The actress also generously shouldered his fare amounting between P50K to P60K when he wanted not to go to L.A. because airfare would not be shouldered by the festival.
