Regine Velasquez, in an interview with Celeste Tuviera for her YouTube channel, credited Michelle Van Emeren for being among the reasons why their blended family relationship is okay.

The spouse of Regine, Ogie Alcasid, is the former husband of Michelle, the representative of Australia in the 1994 Ms. Universe Pageant.

The Asia’s Songbird said that Ogie and Michelle worked hard to iron out the issues between them and eventually, the Australian beauty and Regine were also able to talk.

“Michelle and I were able to talk. Nag-iyakan. Walang panunumbat whatsoever,” Regine said in a video interview with Tuviera.

In an Inquirer report last March of this year, Regine’s talk during the morning show, “Magandang Buhay,” the singer said that she was the “third party” between Ogie and Michelle.

Regine said that if not for Ogie reaching out to Michelle, things would have been different.

“Dalawa sila actually, si Michelle at si Ogie. Silang dalawa talaga. Maraming beses niyang kinausap si Michelle. Then finally, nung feeling niya puwede na akong ipasok, sinama niya ako sa Australia,” Regine said.

Regine Velasquez is a famous singer, host, and actress in the Philippines. She is dubbed as the Asia’s Songbird because of her outstanding vocal range. She is married to singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid, a popular singer, songwriter, television host, and actor from the Philippines.

Recently, Regine and Ogie got frank about some rumors regarding their relationship. During the latter’s guesting on “Magandang Buhay,” Regine told her husband that there are rumors saying that they face marital problems and broke up. The Asia’s Songbird also revealed that the said speculations made her laugh. Ogie likewise advised his beloved wife to just ignore such false claims.

Back in March, Regine, in a startling ‘tell-all,’ revealed that she used to be the “third party” in the now-annulled married life of Ogie Alcasid and ex-wife, Michelle Van Eimeren. She said that even though Michelle had already forgiven her for it a long time ago, she still feels guilty sometimes whenever she recalls what happened. In 1996, Ogie tied the knot with then Australia’s representative to Ms. Universe 1994, though their marriage was annulled in 2007. Ogie and Regine got married in Dec 22, 2010 at Terrazas de Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Batangas.
