She was asked about her opinion on the controversial statement of Ella Cruz about history and tsismis.

The beauty queen had no qualms in stating her own take about history and tsismis.

She said that it is just very simple. For her, history is the truth while tsismis is not.

"Para sa akin po kasi, napaka-simple lang po, 'wag na po nating daanin sa kung ano-anong explanation. Ang historian po is katotohanan, ang marites, hindi totoo," said Herlene.

It can be recalled that Ella issued a statement saying that "history is like tsismis," and her statement has gone viral.

The actress' statement became one of the most talked-about issues on various social media platforms after her pronouncement.

Herlene Nicole Budol, also known as 'Hipon Girl', is an actress, comedian and social media star who broke through in showbiz as a contestant on “Wowowin”. She later became a host on the said program but had to leave it due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Herlene Budol was recently interviewed by Toni Gonzaga on her official YouTube channel, 'Toni Talks.' During their interview, Toni asked Herlene about her late grandmother, 'Nanay' Bireng. According to Herlene, when her grandmother died, she wanted to quit what she was doing. The beauty queen, at one point, even said, "Habang rumarampa po ako, may pinagdadaanan po ako pero nakikita pa rin po nila akong ngumiti."

Herlene Budol recently uploaded a video of her digital billboard. It's for the famous brand of jeans, which is JAG, as she was also hailed as the Jag Queen in Binibining Pilipinas 2022. This is aside from winning first runner up on the said prestigious beauty pageant.
