The issue started when Dennis posted online that his children forgot to greet him last Father’s Day.
Leon then asked his father to stop posting negative things about his children that make them susceptible to online bashing.
Furthermore, Leon said that when he and his siblings tried to resolve their issues with Dennis, the latter allegedly said hurtful words toward them.
According to Lolit, Dennis should not dwell on not receiving Father’s Day greetings from his children. Instead, Lolit urged him to focus on being present in his children’s lives on a daily basis.
The showbiz reporter explained that having special moments with his children every day is much more valuable than getting greetings on Father’s Day.
“Sabi ko na nga Salve magiging issue iyon hugot ni Dennis Padilla sa hindi pagbati ng mga anak niya ng Father's Day sa kanya. Hindi naman siguro gusto ni Dennis na maging issue ito kaya nga lang dahil naging open siya sa nadama niya, heto at sumagot na ang anak niyang si Leon.
“Hindi naman mahalaga iyon pagbati, mas mahalaga iyon nasa puso ka ng mga anak mo. Kadalasan nga mas importante pa iyon kausap mo lang iyon tao kesa duon sa ibibigay niya sa iyo na regalo.
“Ganyan din sa pagbati, mas gugustuhin mo na magkasama kayo kesa sa binabati ka lang sa phone o text o sulat. Basta huwag ng magtampo si Dennis Padilla, dapat lang tiyakin niya na mahal siya ng mga anak, na talagang nasa puso nila si Dennis bilang ama.
“Lalo pa nga at hindi sila magkasama sa iisang bahay kaya mas maganda na feel ng mga anak niya ang presence niya as their father, at mahal siya ng mga ito. Hindi na importante ang isang araw na hindi ka nabati, mas mahalaga iyon forever na love nila para sa iyo. Peace Dannis at love love love,” Lolit said.
